The sample group consisted of 200 participants dwelling in a national housing authority community within 12 residences who were interviewed using quota sampling and simple random sampling. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected contemporaneously. The statistics used to analyze the quantitative data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, ranking, and dependent samples t-test. The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that the operational planning was manipulated via civil society forum activities, and the project was run by the housing juristic board, the cooperative committee and exercise and sport clubs in cooperation with national housing authority officers. The project also concentrated on building and promoting an enabling environment and sport clubs and exercise for health. Health outcomes quantified using mean scores of a health paradigm and health knowledge in the post-process stage were significantly higher than those of the pre-process stage (p < .05). Lastly, the mean scores of the different health-promoting behaviors in terms of predisposing factors and reinforcing factors in the post-process stage were significantly greater than those of the pre-process stage (p < .05). |
